A selection of videoart by Lowave 36 works from the Human Frames Collection will be presented at Alwan 338 in Bahrain as part of this year’s edition under the concept of Common Ground. The work of Hélène Agofroy overlaps between device and performance installation. Realized entirely in the studio, Arrangements positions notions of the artist's autobiographical interrogations at the center of the set decoration. The reconstituted pavilion forms a fictional space in perpetual configuration and merges, depending on different arrangements that give its occupants a place where memorial projections come to be intertwined, the continuous thread of history, personal recollections.
The session features Encyclopedia Britannica (1971 ; 6') by John Latham, The Girl Chewing Gum (1976 ; 12') by John Smith, Carriage Discresness (1966 ; 14') by Yvonne Rainer and Arrangements (2012 ; 23') by Hélène Agofroy.

Cine|Sonic, Lowave and the Goethe Institut Amsterdam present a new edition of EARTH. Black to Comm [Marc Richter and Renate Nikolaus] and David Aird aka Vindicatrix create a live soundscape for Tzu Nyen Ho's film EARTH, an impressive film collage, that is inspired by the paintings of Caravaggio, Delacroix, Géricault and Rembrandt. EARTH is part of our exhibition Human Frames [Impermanence].

Lowave participates in a symposium "Cinemas and video art in South Asia: taking stock" with a presentation of Indian films from Re:Frame and Human Frames. Included in a broader context, the symposium marks the opening of the first edition of FFAST, the Transgressive South Asian Film Festival, which will take place from January 16 to 20, 2013 at the cinemas of Gaumont Champs-Élysées.
