Toby Cornish
*1972, London, UK. Lives and works in Berlin, Germany.
Toby Cornish has been making short experimental films after inheriting his grandfather’s Super-8 camera at the age of 15. From 1990-1996, he attended Camberwell College of Art, and the Royal College of Art in London. Though he studied Graphic Design, most of his work is film-based and concerned with structure, systems and space.
Living in Berlin since 1998, he worked for a music-video company then as part of Jutojo, who designed for printed and projected spaces, together with two cousins and a spacious studio. Sarajevo Vertical has been shown at festivals in Germany and Greece.
