Counterparts / Germany / 2010 / 8’34 / 4:3
The flow of images and sound go their separate ways in Counterparts and re-encounter one another in a tragic situation as perceived by the viewer. The image, which depicts a silent man engrossed in a game of pachinko, as well as the musical composition which features an increasingly agressive female voice, exemplifies a contradictory and, as it were, an insane mental state.
