Lowave Collection
Lowave's film and video collection has been built between 2002 and 2014 and features over 250 video artists and filmmakers from around the world. The label has contributed to an important number of international exhibitions, biennials, film and video festivals, as well as academic programmes. As Lowave's activities evolve, we have stopped our film distribution and our catalogue serves now as an archive that documents over a decade of film and video art history. A selection of our DVDs is on sale at Re:Voir in Paris.
Frederic D. Oberland
*1978, Paris, France. Lives and works in Paris, France.
Multitalented musician, composer and filmmaker Frédéric D. Oberland studied cinema at La Fémis and political science at Sorbonne. As a member of the experimental film lab Etna he collaborates with many artists and his work ranges from music composition to film performance.

Junho Oh
*1977. Lives and works in Seoul, South Korea.
Junho Oh received his MFA at the Art Institute of Chicago in 2006 and works as a professor at Dong-Eui University in Busan, South Korea. He is a programmer fo the EXiS film festival in Seoul and creates experimental films and installation works with both celluloid film and computer applications.
Erkan Ozgen
*1971, Mardin, Turkey. Lives and works in Diyarbakir, Turkey.
Erkan Özgen was born in Mardin, Turkey in 1971 and graduated from the Çukurova University Painting Department in 2000. He creates video based installations and has participated in group exhibitions in Turkey and abroad including Under the beach: the pavement at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Istanbul, In den Schluchten des Balkan, curated by René Block at Kunsthalle Fridericianum, Kassel (2004), Free Kick, Hospitality Zone, 9th Istanbul Biennale (2005), Normalization, Rooseum center for contemporary art, Malmö (2006), The New York Arab and South Asian Film, New York (2008), EUROPE XXL, Istanbul Traverse, Lille (2009).
In 2003 he curated the Eyes Contact exhibition with Sener Özmen at the Diyarbakir Art Center. In 2005 he went to Sweden and participated in the International Artists Studio Program at the Rooseum Center in Malmö. In the same year, he was awarded the Prix Meuly from the Kunstmuseum Thun in Switzerland. In 2008 Erkan participated in the Can Xalant exchange program at the Center for Creating and Contemporary Thought in Mataró, Barcelona. He has also participated in a number of workshops in Beirut, Damascus, Diyarbakir, Enschede, Khartoum and Taipei and has given lectures on contemporary art in Turkey and abroad.
Ferhat Ozgur
*1965, Ankara, Turkey. Lives and Works in Ankara, Turkey.
Working with different mediums including video, photography, installations, and painting, Ferhat Özgür's works examine the phenomena of the city and its urban transformational tides, fragments of memory as they relate to changing places and times, and the questions related to how a specific place becomes a city.
Taking part in the 6th Berlin Biennale, 10th Istanbul Biennale and 1st Tirana Biennale, the artist has presented his works in numerous exhibitions including Magazine 4 Kunstverein-Bregenz, Austria; Casino Luxembourg Luxembourg; Ludwig Forum-Aachen, Germany; Stiftelsen 3 14, Bergen, Norway; Stimultania-Strasbourg, France; Centre Pasquart Forum d’art Comtemporain, Biel, Switzerland; Museum of New Art Michigan, USA; Trienale Bovisa–Milan, Italy; Huarte Contemporary Art Center, Spain; Fotografie Forum Frankfurt, Germany etc. Ferhat Özgür continues to teach as a professor at the Hacettepe University, Fine Arts Faculty in Ankara.
Ethem Ozguven
*1962, Turkey. Lives and works in Turkey.
Ethem Özgüven is a video and documentary maker, whose work explores environmental and social matters. He founded the International Video Workshop with Walter Pucher and Petra Holzer, creating an alternative teaching model for intercultural groups. He also teaches at various universities.
